Boooooring

by sweetymon @ Friday, Jun. 30, 2006 - 16:51:05

I've had a lovely working-gal day! With the exception that I'm not a working gal, and if I was I would've had the day off. Anyway, had a lovely black coffee and toast for breakfast, then worked out to one of those fitness videos, then watched Will and Grace, and then had a loooooooong shower and pampered myself. Only one thing went wrong though, my whole body is burning so I'm guessing I'm allergic to my new coconut body butter, gonna have to buy a new one. For God's sake, will I ever stop wasting money! :|

So my day's been good...until now. Now I'm bored and I dont know what to do, and havent got any plans for tonight, which really sucks because 1) I dont like being bored, 2) My usual partner in crime is with her boyfriend, 3) I miss having my own flat and doing crazy things for amusement, and being so close to all the restaurants and shops and the park, and having Andy to entertain me or at least to be bored with me, and 4) Sometimes I just feel moody with the world (when I havent got any good ideas) and this, my friends, is one of those times. Grrrrrrr. >:(

So, Portugal vs England tomorrow. I'm supporting Figo, Ronaldo and Valente, so as long as they dont get kicked in the face I'll be happy. ;D

Today's song is 'maneater' by Nelly Furtado, I was sure I'd already chosen this song but apparently not. It's very danceable anyway! :)

Double martinis and double zeros

by sweetymon @ Thursday, Jun. 29, 2006 - 11:52:26

Hi everyone!

Last night I went out with some school friends I hadnt seen in a long time, we went bowling! I'm not great at bowling on a good day, nevermind after 3 double martinis. A good way to sum up my performance would be "double martinis and double zeros". :)) It was good to catch up with everyone and to meet Cheryl's lovely boyfriend Ben, they looked sooo cute together awww. :)

I was gonna go to the gym this morning cos it's always full in the afternoon (the smaller the audience the better when one makes an idiot of self), but for the 3rd day in a row I put my alarm off for an extra hour, then another hour, then just gave up and went to sleep until I felt like waking up! Feels good though, and it's been proved that sleeping burns calories. :D And I am a student, gotta live up to my student reputation! Tonight I'm gonna go swimming though, really feel like it. I love swimming, it makes me feel so free! :>>

Alright then, today's song is 'somewhere on Fullerton' by Allister!

For God's sake woman, stop shopping!!

by sweetymon @ Wednesday, Jun. 28, 2006 - 11:42:43

Oh dear God. I've just received an e-mail reminding me that the stuff I ordered a few weeks ago is now in stock and they'll dispatch it as soon as possible; and they'll debit my account just as soon. Uh oh... I thought I hadn't ordered those things, to be honest I'd forgotten about them. Not that they wont be welcome, I love shiny new things!! But come on...I need money coming in, not going out! Never gonna save enough to go on holiday, grrrrr! :>

Right I'm gonna go work out because if I do go on holiday, I want a nice bum and tummy. It's not that I completely dislike my body, it's just that sloth is a sin. Ok you got me, I dont care about the sins, but laziness just isn't a good enough excuse and it's not pretty. And from experience I know that if I put the effort in, I can look better. You'd think that being in marketing I wouldnt be a victim to the media, and I know that advertising can really change a person's beliefs, but I think people should always work towards their goals and if I want a nice beach bod, I will get one. Anyway I better go, this fat arse isnt gonna tone itself up!

Today's song is 'Molly's chambers' by Kings of Leon. *dances like a hippie*

Yum yum squirrel

by sweetymon @ Monday, Jun. 26, 2006 - 18:23:36

Soooo I've been a good healthy girlie today. I even made a fruit salad for breakfast! Cant believe I actually peeled and chopped an apple, a kiwi and a banana and ate them together instead of one at a time. Now that's effort! :>> Then I went to the gym, and as always humiliated myself; this time by tangling my earphones around my arms, pulling them down accidently and making my ipod go flying in the air and landing far from me. And then, yes it gets worse, I shouted 'Shit!'. So what, right? Shit is a perfectly common word you might say, especially acceptable when you burn/cut yourself. My sister said to me "were you the only one there?" and I said "no, the gym was packed". Ah, now it sounds like a cringey story!! It wasnt enough to put me off though, I'm going back tomorrow hahaaaaa so there! Monica 1 - 0 Gym.

Here's a funny quote I heard earlier: "Do you think when BT gave themselves the initials BT they meant BS but T is next to S in the alphabet so they got the wrong one?" Well yes, I think so! Ahhhh you crack me up. :))

I'm gonna go eat some more of the food my mom's friend from Mauritius made. I have no idea what it is, but it's quite nice! Hope it's not squirrel. :-/ But if it was (you know the karma's out to get ya!), it wouldnt be too bad as the fat content in squirrels must be minimal, for they are small healthy animals.

Today's song is 'doll parts' by Hole! U-(

Weekend away

by sweetymon @ Sunday, Jun. 25, 2006 - 20:35:42

Hello dear bloggers!

Portugal is playing now and I've got the match on but I'm not watching it properly because I try to avoid anything that makes me bite my nails!! Instead I'm unpacking my bag. Just got back from visiting Andy's family in Birmingham, had a lovely time! It felt a bit different this time because I wasnt Mrs Andy anymore, but seeing everyone is always nice. :)

As usual, here are the highlights:

*Finding two used matches in my bag - no sign of a match box :|
*Falling asleep on the couch (the usual)
*J: "What are you doing Andrew?"
A: "Making rude gestures at Monica!"
*Being knighted! With a sword and everything!
*"His name is Torrado!! That means 'toasted'!"
*A: "I'd like to see you looking pristine after running for two hours."
M: "I dont look pristine 5 minutes after a shower!"
*Having a gorgeous roast dinner
*J: "Carol's in the kitchen because she can cook!"
A: "Yea and you should be there watching her!"
*Playing with Kelly the golden retriever and Goldie the lhasa apso awww :>>

Errrrm yea...the worst moment was without a doubt the drunken women on the coach back. They were yelling "I'm drunk on the bus!!!" on their phone and the driver completely ignored them. Should've made them sit in the toilet!

Anyway I'm gonna go put my feet up and relax because tomorrow I must be at the gym early. Seriously...the summer diet went straight out the window this weekend! 8|

You can choose a song for today hehehe :b

Á la ligne

by sweetymon @ Friday, Jun. 23, 2006 - 14:51:56

I had my last Interior Design lesson today! My project is finished and everything is done, now I just have to wait for my certificate. Hurrah!! On my way out of college I signed up for drama lessons. Hahahaha, told ya I wanted to be an actress!! I'm studying marketing at uni, pretending to be someone else is part of the curriculum!

Little note: I hate sales. I dont wanna work in sales. Sales are evil. I'm gonna work in advertising or PR. I know the point of them is selling in the end, but phoning people and offering our products will be someone else's job; I'll just come up with the ideas. Now that we've got that cleared I'll continue...

I must be going crazy. My mom thinks I'm just growing out of the teenage phase and becoming a mature adult. *giggles* Hum. That could be it; or maybe there's another (a more credible) explanation for my recent behaviour. I've always been shy and would rather go unnoticed than be the centre of attention, then all of a sudden I get a job as a sales rep, I start going out much more often, I wear a bikini in public, I go out with messy hair, I phone the hospital instead of getting my mom to do it for me (wankers!!! gonna spend my birthday in >:XX hospital!) and I join a drama class. And you know what, I love the new me! :D My inner rebel loves coming out to play.

Jesus this is a long post. Right, today's song is 'celebrity skin' by Hole; I think I'm gonna get a Courtney Love hairdo... never listened to people saying "dont do that", why start now?!

Oh thank God!!

by sweetymon @ Thursday, Jun. 22, 2006 - 22:10:06

Here's a little conversation we had earlier...

Mom: "What's wrong Monica?"
Me: "I wanna go to the gym but cant be bothered, and wanna go swimming but havent got goggles yet."
Sister: "Here Monica, you can have my goggles."
Me: "Awww thanks sis."

*tries goggles on*

Humm a bit tight. I leave the goggles on the couch. Sister sees goggles and shouts "Ungrateful!!!", so I try them on again. Eyes start to feel smaller and smaller and vision gets blurry. Mom starts laughing and saying "Your eyes look like they're gonna pop out!"

Me: "I have a big head!!"
Alex: "They're junior ones."

Ahhhh! :| I was starting to have a big head complex.

Cant think of a song...help!! Must go and wash this deep conditioner off my normal-sized-head before my hair actually melts with the coconut oil... U-(

Football, cinema, hysteria and J'aime chanter

by sweetymon @ Wednesday, Jun. 21, 2006 - 21:48:46

So Portugal won again *quietly cheers under the quilt to make sure no mexican blogfriends feel offended*.

I've had a really productive day! Had a gorgeous tuna sandwich from Subway and went to see Poseidon with Andy, orange wednesdays!!! It's quite good, a lot of action. Me and Andy were betting who would die next, and we both won cos we bet on the same person. :D Big cruises freak me out, as do trains and planes. Actually, anything that I'm not driving/riding freaks me out a bit. Control freak, me?! As if!! |-|

So I've got a million things to do but as always deprioritised (is that even a proper word?) them. Now I'm not very happy about this, so I'll do all I have to do tomorrow. By next week I will be a somewhat qualified Interior Designer and I'm quite excited about that! :>> Guinea pigs still wanted - apply within.

Today's song is 'cubicle' by Rinocerose, some french band. I like escargot - yep that's gay for 'snails'!

by sweetymon @ Tuesday, Jun. 20, 2006 - 20:36:07

I went swimming!! And it was fuuuun! :D And it gives me a reason to shop, which I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing cos I love shopping but I'm a poor student. I need to get a proper swimsuit, as always I looked like Barbie compared to the other people with my little turquoise tie bikini. I really look out of place at the gym. In a happy mood now although a bit achy from the exercise. It's times like these I wish I had straight hair too, instead of the poodles that reside in my head. Ah well, what are hoodies for?!

I've had a healthy day altogether. Had wholemeal bread with jam for breakfast, weetabix with fruit yoghurt for lunch, and sushi and grilled chipolatas for din dins. Ok I had a big spoon of cadbury's chocolate spread and chips too - so I'm not perfect!

Kiki2u wasnt sure who Dave Grohl was so here's a picture of him:

Swimming with clothes on

by sweetymon @ Tuesday, Jun. 20, 2006 - 13:00:43

Ahhh tuesday. I've got plans for today! I'm gonna go swimming later, which is a great idea and I'm impressed with myself for managing to get over my body complex and wear a bikini in public. Well, I havent actually gone yet so I should probably keep my mouth shut until I get back from the pool!

I was reading rithompson's blog and it made me realise that I'm not the only girl who doesnt always feel pretty, I think most girls feel ugly and just plain awkward sometimes! And then sometimes someone you care about says something lovely and it makes you feel good about yourself, even if it's just for a minute, it's the best feeling in the world.

Being a girl is hard work! And expensive too. Good moisturiser, good make up, trips to the hairdresser, hair products, waxing/shaving, and the list goes on... I wasnt sure about all these new moisturisers with fake tan in cos fake tan usually leaves random dodgy patches, but I've been using the Loréal Nutri Summer one and it is quite good!!! And this, my friends, is called viral marketing. Haaaahahahaha!

See, everyone's a little bit insecure. ;) There are no ugly people, you just might not like the way they look but that doesnt mean they're ugly, it just means you dont like the way they look. My mother taught me that. :>> She should become the next Dalai Lama.

Today's song is 'cold day in the sun' by the Foo Fighters; Taylor Hawkins (the drummer) sings this song!!

Foos pictures...kinda

by sweetymon @ Monday, Jun. 19, 2006 - 13:06:49

Here are a couple of photos I took yesterday! Bare in mind I have the photographic ability of a child, and we werent exactly next to the stage! :)

Foo Fighters

The Strokes

They look even worse bigger. Oh well it was an amazing day! :D I've got some pics of me under an umbrella with a less than amused face, but I wont post them. :-/

Oh and I forgot to mention Father's Day. My dad picked me up from Manchester after 11 so that wasnt a very nice gift from me, but thank you so much daddy *hugs*. Me and Alex got him some whiskey and a dvd he wanted, but mom might've had something to do with that! ;) Thanks mommy. Hahaha.

Too tired to think of a song of the day, feel free to suggest any! :D

Foo Fighters

by sweetymon @ Monday, Jun. 19, 2006 - 00:40:35

Wow! Wow wow wow!!! Amazing. Just simply amazing, Dave Grohl is a God. He's just brilliant, and even when he burps in front of 60.000 people I still love him. It was raining all day and I was drenched by the time the Foo Fighters came on but it was soooo worth it!!

Almost had a heart attack when I got to the coach station and all the tickets were sold out until 2pm, which is when we had to be there!! But then we were incredibly lucky that some people decided not to show up on time for their coach so we managed to get on the 12pm one!! Hurraaaaahhh!!! :D

We saw Eagles of Death Metal, The Subways, Angels and Airwaves (and when people booed Dave said "HEY, they're my friends, motherf***ers!"), The Strokes (they were also brilliant!) and then the Foos. And then out on the balcony comes who else but Ms Brody Dalle!!! She must've been accompanying her boyfriend Josh Homme or her band mate Ryan Sinn; it was a bit random seeing her there but I was made up! :D They even had fireworks at the end! Best gig I've ever been to. The Hives are now at number two, sorry The Hives! I'm glad Andy picked me up so I could see Taylor Hawkins, he was a bit far and hidden behind his drumkit. Phowar! And Fab Moretti from the Strokes, what's with all these gorgeous drummers?!! :>>

I'll post some pictures (if any come out good) later! I'm going bobbos now, it's been a very long day. Today's song is 'my hero' by the Foos. And today's hero is Andy for taking me to the gig!

I'm still spreading joy...

by sweetymon @ Sunday, Jun. 18, 2006 - 10:23:30

Oh dear. I think I upset one of my blog friends with my last post and I'm really sorry about that. Maybe I should stick to idolizing make up, shoes and bags and continue to hate football, even because I find it too stressful to watch. So anyway, I'm very sorry Eruni, I didnt mean to make it sound like I dont like your country and its population, I just didnt like the way the Portuguese players got abused in the pitch, and that's an unbiased opinion.

I'm off to see the Foooos!!! So excited!! I remember watching the 'learn to fly' video when I was about 13 and I didnt realise they'd put weed in the coffee until I was about erm... 19. I just thought they were being funny. Shame it's raining and my hair's gonna go mental with the humidity, but nothing's gonna stop me from having a good time today! :>>

Have a nice day everyone!

Portugal, Portugal!!

by sweetymon @ Saturday, Jun. 17, 2006 - 16:04:42

I've just been watching the football and there's a few comments I felt I had to make. First of all, iranian son of a bitch!!!! How dare he kick Figo's beautiful face, and get away without a fucking card?! Dont get me wrong, I hate football. But theres still some patriotism left in my soul and I'm Miss Fairness so idiot referees annoy the shit out of me. Iran's strategy was obviously to beat the hell out of the whole Portuguese team and then attempt to win. What kind of game is that?! Have some pride people!! Get your dirtiness and stick it up your arse on your way back to Iran. Bye bye!! Unbefuckinglievable.

Little tip for the iranian manager: it's the ball you kick, not the opposing players. >:-[

by sweetymon @ Friday, Jun. 16, 2006 - 16:47:48

Nooooo! I've just been offered a job interview but cant take it because the job is miles away from me!! When I applied for the job I thought their headquarters were in Manchester, not that I'd have to work there everyday. No play session with blind kidies for Monica. :( And that sounded like such a nice job and so rewarding. Grrrr Manchester.

Still thinking of what to do with my hair, getting bored of it now cos it's been the same for like 9 months. Turns out a side fringe isnt enough to keep me amused. U-( Ahh decisions decisions...It's a hard life!

Being Single

by sweetymon @ Thursday, Jun. 15, 2006 - 21:21:44

Mood: >:XX
State of mind: You dont wanna know.

I decided to look for reasons why it's good to be single. Realised first thing into my research that most reasons why relationships are bad dont apply to me. Maybe I was an evil girlfriend?! :-/ I think I just had a great boyfriend, and we made a pretty good team.

So, for singletons out there, here are the reasons I found:

*There are no shoes or clothes left in the middle of the floor to trip over at six in the morning
*You don't have to shave and can turn into a yeti if you want
*You don't have anyone saying “you're not going to wear that, are you?”
*You’re free and if you want to do something, you just do it!
*Sleeping in your double bed and having it all to yourself
*You can be moody without anyone trying to find out if something's wrong
*You can go out and not say where you've been or what you've been doing and what time you should be back
*You can go shopping and not have to hide what you've bought in the wardrobe and pretend you've had it for ages
*You can have your friends over to drink and behave outrageously whenever you want
*You can turn the lights on when you get dressed in the morning instead of fumbling about in the dark trying to keep quiet
*You’re in control and take charge of yourself
*You can talk to your girlfriends for hours on the phone without getting dirty looks
*If you're nice to a male in public, there's no one to accuse you of flirting
*You can stumble in at 4am and not have to pretend you're sober
*You've got time to figure out who you are and who you want to be
*No fighting over stupid things
*No emotional blackmail
*You can be as selfish as you like without being judged
*You learn to be self-sufficient
*You have nothing to lose!

If you think of more reasons, feel free to let me know!! I don't understand all this stuff about being your own boss when you're single though, you're your own boss regardless. Tell Saddam to f*** off, give him a slap on the ear and kick him right out the door. What is this, the 1920s?!!

High School Friends

by sweetymon @ Thursday, Jun. 15, 2006 - 17:09:52

Hello everyone,

Got a lovely night planned! Gonna meet up with some of my mates from school, most of which I havent seen in well over a year so it'll be fun!

I hate the way when you're going somewhere it seems to get abnormally hot and somehow time seems to go much faster than when you're lounging about doing nothing! I got out the shower and got dressed etc etc, then went back to the bathroom to do my hair but my dad was in the shower. So I start thinking Oh Dear God if my hair starts to dry without product it will look like a lion's mane. Finally get the mousse but there's not much left in it. So really, if one more thing goes wrong I might just hide under my quilt, cover up my ears and go "lalalala" to escape the conspiracy that's trying to stop me from going out tonight.

You say I'm paranoid like it's a bad thing! ;)

And just to reminisce a little, me and the girlies I'm seeing tonight used to be in the choir in high school. One by one we tried to leave but Mr Newlove (that was his name wasnt it?) kinda noticed and refused to let anyone else go. You can call us geeks, but we got to have lunch in the music room instead of the smelly canteen ha ha! *sings "ONE! singular sensation every little step she takes pa da da pa pa dum!"* :o

Today's song is 'maneater' by Nelly Furtado. She speaks Portuguese too! :D

Happy little day

by sweetymon @ Wednesday, Jun. 14, 2006 - 18:00:19

So many things to tell, so little imagination and energy. *sighs*

Ok what've I been up to... AH, yes! Couldnt decide whether to go to the beach, have a bbq in the park, or just stay at home doing nothing all day. The weather was iffy (or indeed downright shit), so in the end we decided to go to West Kirby and have lunch at the beach, as you do on a random wednesday. We got there and it was soooo windy that we just ate our sandwiches (and gingerbread man with scary yellow eyes! :>>) really quickly and buggered off back to the town centre. And I couldnt find any jelly bobs so had to settle for wine gums, and then I felt sick on the train home cos I'm not a big fan of wine gums (well, not half a pack anyway). Anyway, all in all it was a lovely day!

Yesterday me and Cleo decided we needed a few drinks and a little bitching session so we went round town for a bit. Normally I dont like vodka and coke but last night's was lovely, probably because I'd already had 2 martinis. We also decided that we fancied chips (an hour after having dinner) so we sat on the steps of a building eating them, just like 14 year olds! It was fun! :D

Today's song is 'you only live once' by The Strokes. I'm gonna see them on suuuuunday!!! And the Foos!!! And Angels and Airwaves!! :>>

Free as a hamster in a ball

by sweetymon @ Monday, Jun. 12, 2006 - 09:10:02

Well I'm a lady of leisure again, but not for long I hope! :o Like most students I spent my wealth on extrinsic goods and now must find a job to obtain more capital so that I can further pursue my ambiguous shopping habits. Now, before you call me spoilt here's a few reasons as to why I left:

1. Several men asked if I came with the products
2. Several men asked "how much for the lady?"
3. Some smackheads ranaway with our bag and then threatened to stab us
4. I hate walking in severe weather, especially nonstop for 8 odd hours
5. Even though I'm stronger than I look, I dont plan on becoming Mr Muscle 2006 so carrying heavy things around all day isnt under my ideal job description; and
6. One man said "I'll buy porn if she's in it."

:|

So, I know my limits and I shall find another job soon! On a happier note, me and Andy were discussing podgy bellies and diets last night. I think I'm a bad influence on him with my constant whining about my figure, because he's in great shape but thinks he isnt. I told him everyone's got a bit of a belly, like me, and he said "You have a tiny bulge because you're so skinny but you've got all your insides". Not sure where he was trying to get at, but I took it as a compliment. :)) Sorry for making this public Andy! ;)

Today's song is 'lipstick lickin' by Milburn! They're playing at the Leeds Festival, couldnt get tickets...humph. >:(

Glorious sunshine

by sweetymon @ Saturday, Jun. 10, 2006 - 19:52:47

When your legs hurt and your feet are covered in blisters and bruises, you stay home and rest. Yea right, as if! I went shopping today and bought a few lovely tops and some girly goodies, gonna have a facial tonight and let my feet recover! Little tip for anyone who wears wedges with jeans - dont. Your toes will look brown while the rest of your feet will still look white. U-(

So I'm walking around town, which was great cos everyone was watching the match on a big screen in town so all the shops were quiet, and all of a sudden tons of people start running in my direction screaming and running into the first shop they could get into. My first instinct: run and hide behind the tall strong men in the carphone warehouse shop. Haaaaaahaha ;D Turns out some idiots were throwing glass bottles around, which is weird because England won. Tisk :-/

Oh and extra brownie points for me for eating an ice cream which was melting extremely fast because of the heat, and not spilling any all over myself! :>> Talking about Brownie, our hamster Princess Bella Brownie (me, mom and sister picked a name each. I picked Bella btw.) doesnt look too good, she's lying on her side breathing really fast with her mouth open, maybe she's got heat stroke. :`(

Well today's song is 'flying high' by Jem; yes her again. )-o

It's killing inside

by sweetymon @ Friday, Jun. 09, 2006 - 14:05:20

My feet are officially >:XX! My poor legs need a rest so I'm taking the day off. My first couple of days went ok, but I'm thinking about quitting because I'm completely shattered and it's only been 2 freaking days! Working nonstop for twelve hours has already taken its toll on me - I'm sleep deprived and look like a zombie in the morning, by the end of next week I'll be deranged (OI, no jokes there! :b). Soooo, >:XX it. U-( Last night was fun though! "Stop biting your nail." "I know" "You know what?" "*Laughs*" :>>

Ahhh the sun. The thing is, every time I go out at night it rains or it's freezing; and every time I go to the park cos its sunny, the wind goes mental. My mom says I'm paranoid and that it's just a coincidence that it rains when I go somewhere nice. So the sun's out, me and my mom decide to go have lunch in the park. We sit down and the tree we're sat under starts shaking with the wind and leaves start falling on us.

- "Still think I'm paranoid mom?!"
- "Hahahahahaha"

:))

Scary grown up stuff

by sweetymon @ Wednesday, Jun. 07, 2006 - 22:42:27

Oh dear, I'm acting like a grown up and I'm not sure I like it. Here's why... I got up at 6:15am, had a day long job interview which involved getting into lifts several times (including the smallest lift I've ever seen), and I'm claustrophobic btw; convinced people to buy things they didnt need, and didnt complain about it once! That's the problem, I havent actually complained because I know I need a summer job, like all the other students. Ahhh! 88| Maybe I should be proud of myself for getting out of my comfort zone; maybe I should give myself a slap on the ear and tell myself to go sit on the couch and watch Will and Grace and drink green tea, which is something I excel at. ;D Perhaps it's the whole 06/06/06 thing taking over me, even though today is actually the 7th. Anyway, I'll be working 12 hours a day to start with, meaning I have to be up at 5:15am because I'm slow and I like to make myself look pretty before leaving the house.

Seriously, why havent I freaked out about this yet?! I'm freaking myself out for not freaking out, if that makes any sense.

Had to dig out the office clothes and they're baggy on me!! Cant believe how much people change in a year. I shall go shopping soon and buy lots of lovely smart clothes! :D

Today's song is 'still take you home' by the Artek Monkehs!

Inside BBQ...and the duck

by sweetymon @ Sunday, Jun. 04, 2006 - 20:33:09

After a lot of thinking, we decided to have our barbeque in the house because the weather didnt look very nice. So we ate (lovely beef kebabs, I was quite surprised/disgusted at myself as I dont like eating meat, but I have to admit they were amazing), ate some more, and then we all ended up taking a nap on the couch. At about 19:30 little sister goes "Ok I'm ready, are we going to the park?" The thing is, we did. And we had ice cream and sat on the grass watching the duckies fight. As we were taking in the beauty of the lake and the pretty flowers, my mother says "Your grandad used to have one of those (ducks) on the wall" and we said "awwww", and then she goes: "Stuffed". Of course after that my sister had to ask tons of questions such as "did he kill it himself?" and "did he take out its veins and heart?". :|

Yummy treats

Hello there!

We werent sure what to do today as it was sunny and warm but there isnt anywhere that nice to go...sooo we bought some stuff and decided to have a Brazilian food day! :D We had salgadinhos, brigadeiros and beijinhos! Are you confused?! I took pictures of the sweets, we ate all the salgadinhos (kinda like pasties) before I took the photos sooo here they are:

brigadeiros

These are made of chocolate and they're yummy.

beijinhos

And these are made of coconut and they're also yummy. They were supposed to look like little balls but I kinda screwed up when I was making them! Tasty though!!!

Also, my mate sent me a link (http://www.go-quiz.com/cocktail/cocktail.php) to see what my cocktail would be made of, and here's what I got:

How to make a Monica

Ingredients:
1 part jealousy
5 parts craziness
1 part beauty

Method: Layer ingredients in a shot glass. Add a little lovability if desired!

Very nice indeed! Ooh and my parcel finally got delivered and I love everything I bought so it all turned out fine in the end! :)

Mean delivery man

by sweetymon @ Friday, Jun. 02, 2006 - 13:44:40

I'm gonna cry! :| I ordered some stuff off the net and the courier tried delivering yesterday but I wasnt in, because I dont live at that address anymore and forgot to change it when I was ordering (ok, yes I deserve a big slap on the ear and a "duh!"). But anyway I phoned the guy yesterday and he told me he'd deliver today, so I got the keys off Andy and stayed at his house waiting for my parcel for ages. Decided to phone the guy...and he told me he'll deliver tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow, not today. I came to Andy's house, ate his food (tidyed up a bit too, cant help it, I am a Monica after all!), sat around bored for ages and my beautiful stuff isnt getting here today. So noooow I'm not happy! >:-[ And I shall seek revenge, such as letting Bob run after the delivery man and bite his toes, or run after the man shouting "I'm Andreeeeew" as it seemed to scare the last guy.

Other than that my day's been lovely! Almost finished a project for a huge modern/unusual/arty/traditional bathroom. Sounds dodgy, but it's gonna look great! ;D I'm almost qualified as an interior designer (well, not exactly, but close enough). ;)

Today's song is 'got love to kill' by Juliette and the Licks! :D

Mon xx
