Quick update because tomorrow's going to be hectic with lectures and job seminars and whining about having to leave my baby for the first time (who would've thought I'm actually the motherly type!). Just had a lovely evening with MenoMama - lovely Kelly - she is such a fun, delightful person. Like Adamantixx said, the night flew by. And apparently I neglected to mention that Miza-T is my mum, so some of you *ahem Juzzzy * might be surprised when we show up together. Apart from my puppy trying to devour everyone's clothes and shoes (honestly I am trying to teach him, and Ozzzy has given me some tips!) it has been such a pleasant evening that I'm not even worried about tomorrow, just looking forward to it. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna hit the hay.

I'm going to a party tonight, in a student residence, so officially you could say that it's a famous American "dorm party" - how cool's that?! There won't be anyone doing crack, or drinking out of test tubes, or swinging out of the window, or having a lesbian threesome, or puking in the bath (although this has happened several times before) but hey it'll be fun!

So...

Birthday card - check
Cupcakes (one with a candle for the birthday girl) - check
Sweets - check
Bottles of Bacardi Breezer which are clearly a mistake as I'm in uni in the morning and alcopops give me hangovers - check
Party mood - replaced with a headache, but nothing can be done about it due to previous item on the list

So, where was I?

Sooo sorry I haven't been around for ages, my only excuse is, once again, too much work. And when I do get time off, I can usually be found in a pub/bar/restaurant having dinner and one too many drinks with my friends and/or boyfriend. I better get a decent degree, or at least a very pretty dress for my prom. On the news front, tomorrow is mine and the boy's anniversary - can you believe it's been a year already?! I think it's time we start calling him by his real name. I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am, the world is as near to perfect as it can be when I'm with him, and we make each other happy. I did find, after my last relationship, that sometimes love isn't enough. Maybe that's why things work with Mike better than with any other guy I've dated, we're best friends as well as loveeeers, and as cliché as it sounds, we share a sense of humour and he makes me laugh so much it makes my jaw ache. So maybe the secret to a happy relationship is love, sensibility, comfort and many giggles. And, of course, cocktails.

Also on the news, I had my yearly post-op checkup the other day and the doctor was so happy that I am now off the list, tumour free and the nerves have all woken up and are back to normal - big woohoo! And I think that's all! Oh, I finally bought a christmas cactus. Yeah, I know, they must've taken my sense away along with the tumour. When it's decorated, I'll show you what it looks like!

I'll pop round soon and can't wait to meet you all in a couple of weeks
